英语写作中，副词在的位置用法比较复杂，取决于写作形式（正式与非正式）、副词的长度、意义和在句子中的作用各种因素。
在学术英语写作中，副词所修饰的对象主要是形容词和动词或者整个句子，它与被修饰的对象之间的位置关系主要有以下几种：
- 当被修饰的主要动词为一个单词时，将副词放在访动词前。
